Janet is originally from Green Bay, Wisconsin (Ashwaubenon for those who've been there).  She grew up in a large extended family who attended the Catholic church.  She prayed to start a personal relationship with Christ at age 19.  Janet attended college at UW-Parkside and Indiana University.  While attending Parkside, she worked two summers at Great America, with the highlight being playing the character Sylvester.  She has a degree in Educational Psychology.  

Janet first moved to Evanston, Illinois with a job opportunity in 1989.  She has worked in a variety of school settings as a school psychologist since then, and is now semi-retired.  Janet met and married her husband Bob (a Chicago native and Bears fan) in Green Bay  in 1995.  They attended a Christian and Missionary Alliance church which helped them grow as believers and parents of young children.  Their children Kathryn and Joe graduated from Glenbrook North High School.  

Janet enjoys getting outdoors for exercise; gardening, playing with kids, and spending time with family and friends.  She has attended North Suburban Church since 2008.  She has served as a leader in Kids Ministry as well as leading a life group and growth group.
