Prayer Team Update June 2024

Time to Join or Re-Join!

This is an exciting time in the life of our church, and we need to remember how much we need the Lord for everything, to work in our hearts and minds, to conform us to the image of Christ, and to bring our friends, neighbors, and loved-ones to faith. We really need the Lord to work in our church, and as Jesus says in John 15:5 “you can do nothing without me”.

God gives us the privilege of praying, and better yet, of praying in the name of Jesus. In 1 Peter 3:12 we are told the Lord’s ears are open to our prayer. In Romans 12:12 we are commanded to be faithful in prayer, and in Colossians 4:2 we are told to devote ourselves to prayer.

Most of us agree in principle that it is important to pray for the ministry of the church, and here is an opportunity to take a step to do that. We have a prayer team of people who have committed to pray regularly, preferably daily, for the ministry of the church. A suggested prayer guide is provided with requests from ministry leaders and a schedule to pray each day for pastors, staff, elders, WLT members, deacons, global partners, etc. This month is our annual enrollment or re-enrollment time.
