Prayer Meeting for Russia-Ukraine War

In Romans 12:15, we are told to “Rejoice with those who rejoice, weep with those who weep”. It’s been a year since Russia invaded Ukraine, and that has caused and is causing a lot of weeping, among both Christians and non-Christians.

Our church supports 9 Global Partners, and at least 4 of them are ministering directly with people affected by the war. Jim and Liz, Roy and Joi, and Brett and Michelle were involved in this church for years during their seminary time, and David was in our Sunday School as a youngster. We have asked them for input on how to pray.

We are planning a prayer meeting for Thursday, February 23, 7:00-8:00 PM, the day before the one-year anniversary of the invasion. We should pray for the people affected by this war, both in Ukraine, in Russia, and in the many countries where people have fled. When so many people have their lives shaken up, they may be open to listening to the gospel, and we need to pray that many will come to faith during these times.

Please plan on coming Thursday, February 23, from 7:00-8:00 PM.
